PRICE RANGE -- Appetizers: $5 to $12; pasta $10 to $25; entrees $17 to $25.

The menu is a mere indication of what's available here; in fact, you don't even need it, since the owner will tell you what's fresh and what's good, and it changes all the time. The wine list -- it isn't large -- is surprisingly modern and fairly priced. Desserts are not consistent, but a creamy sponge cake, obviously made that day and right there, was wonderful. As with everything else, it pays to ask what to order. I wasn't steered wrong once when I did.
